Examples of Work by DMI 3D

3D printing is an accessible way to produce an amazing variety of shapes from simple to complex. DMI 3D can take the idea in your head or a drawing on a napkin and transform it using into a CAD drawing or 3D printed part using digital drafting.

Here are some examples of parts created by us. These examples illustrate various starting points and objectives that led to a 3D printed prototype or final object.

Slide Bearing

Sterling Marine couldn't source this slide bearing from Italy.

Solution

We produced a drawing and a prototype in two days.

Test Tube Stand

Customer brought a ready-to-print file and asked for one copy.

Solution

We responded with a quick turnaround. Three months later customer asked "Can you make me another test tube holder?" No problem, we print-on-demand!

Coffee Funnel

Customer required a scaled up version of an existing design.

Solution

Created a drawing from the part, scaled up and 3D printed.

Simplified Fabrication

The metal original was complex in design and required many steps in order to fabricate it.

Solution

We worked with the customer through several prototypes to enhance the design, add desired features, and then 3D printed a part for testing.
